LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - 1/3 EAST ANGLIAN REGT - WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
17/07/2007

Dear Editor

The above regiment served in Malaya in 1959 at the near end of the Emergency. It is a vital part of the Royal Anglian Regiment's history but there is very little mentioned at all at the Duxford Museum, maybe a lack of space I've been told.

Needless to say I am a veteran of the 1st Bn E/A Regt: I joined as a National Serviceman aged 19. I trained at Warley barracks then was posted to Malaya 'til the end of my time.

Not a lot of people have heard of the Malaya Emergency, or the East Anglian Regiment. Can you do anything to enlighten the public of my old unit which only existed for 6 years.

Kind regards
Richard Faulkner
Clacton-on-Sea, Essex
