Leicester’s City Gallery is hosting an ambitious premiere of a multi-media installation, featuring music, art, theatre techniques and interactivity.

The second instalment in art group Metro-Boulot-Dodo’s successful Four Seasons project, Autumn is running until October 27 2006 and features constantly evolving lights, sounds and music to evoke the progress of an autumnal evening.

A rotting forest floor is created with rusted baths, broken televisions and discarded sofas and using a commissioned 40 minute piece of music, along with constantly shifting light and sound sources, the viewer is guided through the apparently random scene.

The piece aims to reflect and resonate with the atmosphere of the autumn months and the fears and discoveries that come with age.

Fours Seasons started with Spring, which opened in 2005 and has since toured extensively around the UK. Each of the project’s stages will reflect the different stages in a person’s life.
