They will be holding a special writing workshop and curators talk at the British Museum to kick-start the event on Wednesday November 26.
Curator Richard Parkinson will give a talk about identifying gay desire in ancient Egyptian history
The talk will include the first ever gay chat up line written on papyrus and the international controversy over the first recorded gay kiss found in a courtiers tomb in 2500BC.
A practical writing workshop will explore the idea of using objects in the museum to inspire writers for the competition.
