Description
The Nehru Centre aims to foster a continuous, varied and meaningful dialogue between India and Britain - which means that any activity remotely describable as 'cultural' falls within our purview.

The Nehru Centre was established in 1992 and is located in a magnificent 18th century building in the heart of Mayfair, London. It has an auditorium (which seats about 130), two galleries and a small library. Music, dance, theatre, films, lectures, seminars, book launches, exhibitions of paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewellery and costumes - our programme covers them all.

The Nehru Centre is the Cultural Wing of the High Commission of India. It is administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, an autonomous organisation attached to the Ministry of External Affairs.
