Description
From the Napoleanic wars to the modern day, you can re-live the compelling and dramatic story of The Gordon Highlanders through our spectacular and interactive displays.

Following in the footsteps of serving soldiers, our newly refurbished museum takes you on an eye-opening journey through the history of one of the most famous regiments in the British Army. It is a story spanning 200 years of world history and 19 Victoria Crosses and is packed with tales of courage and tenacity on the battlefield.

The Museum is housed in the former home and studio of prominent Scottish artist, Sir George Reid and offers a range of facilities and services to its visitors.
Collections description
The Museum houses the regimental treasures of The Gordon Highlanders collected over 200 years and includes medals, weapons, textiles, silver, ceramics, photography, art and an extensive archive.

In 2007 the Museum launched a new open-access armoury, featuring the entire firearms and edged weapons collection. This new store is available to the public during opening hours.
