From 3 May–31 August 2008, the Royal Observatory courtyard will remain open until 8pm.

All three sites close early on 31 December and open late on 1 January and on the occasion of the London Marathon each year.

Peter Harrison Planetarium show costs:
Adults: £6.00 | Concessions: £4.00 | Children*: £4.00
*Children must be accompanied by an adult. Shows are suitable for ages 7+, and children under 4 will not be admitted. 'Secret of the Cardboard Rocket' (11.00 weekends and school holidays) is suitable for younger children.
Description
The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich consists of three linked sites: the Maritime Galleries, the Royal Observatory and the 17th-century Queen's House. Set among the beautiful scenery and architecture of Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, the Museum incorporates the Prime Meridian of the world and London's only planetarium.

Events and activities for all ages include planetarium shows, tours, lectures, workshops, exhibitions and galleries. The Museum also provides a full programme of events for UK school groups.
Collections description
The National Maritime Museum's collections contain over two million items relating to seafaring, navigation, astronomy and time measurement. The collections include Nelson's Trafalgar uniform and the Harrison Chronometers.
