Description
Wolverhampton Art Gallery aims to provide a friendly, accessible and inclusive environment for visitors to explore art, at their leisure.

The Art Gallery has two large galleries decorated to reflect the Georgian and Victorian artworks on display and designed to engage visitors with the historical themes relevant to the artworks displayed. The award winning Sensing Sculpture gallery offers a sensory experience of traditional and contemporary sculptures, designed for audiences with visual impairment and without.

As well as these permanent exhibitions the gallery also hosts an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions, workshops, talks and other events.

From March 2007, a new £6.7 million extension is open to the public. The extension includes a bright new reception area and two unusual triangular galleries. The new spaces will house Wolverhampton’s extensive Pop Art Collection and provide additional space for special exhibitions of both contemporary and traditional art.
