Description
The Red House Glass Cone lies in the heart of the Glass Quarter, Stourbridge, West Midlands. It was built at the end of the 18th century and used for the manufacture of glass until 1936. It is now one of only four left in the United Kingdom.

The Cone itself reaches 100 feet into the sky and is an amazing structure. A tour through the glassworks will take you down into the underground passages and tunnels and up into the heart of the Cone where you can can marvel at the scale and enormity of the structure and look down on glass artists at work.

Audio guides can also be hired. These take you through the history of the glassworks, introduce you to the characters from the industry and explain the magical process of glassmaking.

Live glassmaking every day (except Wednesdays)
