We operate a CARN reader's ticket system. Everyone wishing to use the Archives and Local History Service is required to register on their first visit. To register, you should bring 2 forms of official identification, one of which must give your current address (e.g. driving licence, benefit book or utility bill) and the other needs to have either a signature or photograph (e.g. credit card, passport or travel pass).

Description
Dudley Archives and Local History Service is housed in a converted school, and has an active Friends organisation.

Collections description
Our aim is to acquire, preserve and make available for public research any and all material relating to the present Dudley Metropolitan Borough area. This includes both manuscripts, such as parish records, council minutes and files, title deeds and maps, and also printed material, in the form of books, pamphlets, posters and newspapers, and audio visual material. this material spans dates from the 12th century to the present day, covering the whole range of local history and local study topics.
