Description
Milton Keynes Gallery opened in October 1999 - the first new -built public art Gallery in England in over 20 years. Since then it has quickly established itself within the city and beyond as an important addition to the British contemporary art scene.
Visitors to MK G experience a rapidly changing programme of free exhibitons, on average 8 - 10 a year in a wide variety of media. By developing innovative and influential exhibitons MK G aims to make contempoary art accessible for all.

Key artists and exhibits
MK G presents thematic, group and solo shows. The inaugural exhibitons 'The Rudimentary Pictures' by Gilbert & George attracted nearly 23,000 visitors.
