Description
P E A C O C K visual arts is the main contemporary visual arts organisation in Aberdeen and the North-east and is supported by Aberdeen City Council and the Scottish Arts Council. Through its programmes it aims to engage artists and the public, to increase the understanding and enjoyment of contemporary art and to empower individuals and communities.
Peacock visual arts organises an annual programme of national and international contemporary art exhibitions in its gallery, often accompanied by talks, critical debates and workshops. A wide range of prints, paintings and photography produced by local, national and international artists is for sale in Peacock's shop.
Peacock visual arts provides the widest range of media openly available anywhere in Scotland. These include:
* Hire of video equipment and use of professional edit-suite
* Printmaking workshops
* Photography darkroom
