Description
The Silk Industry Museum includes the Silk Museum and Paradise Mill. At Paradise Mill you are given a guided tour around a working silk mill as it was int he 1930s. The Silk Museum takes you through the design and processes involved in producing and creating silk, from bugs to beauty.
Collections description
Costume, machinery and amterials relating to the whole silk process in Macclesfield and around the world. Social history items from Macclesfield.
