Description
The jewel in the crown of the garden village of Port Sunlight, housing the magnificent personal collection of the first Lord Leverhulme. It was built by the soap magnate and philanthropist in 1922 as the centre piece of his workers' residential village.
Collections description
The gallery includes Pre-Raphaelites, paintings by Turner and Constable, 18th century furniture alongside ceramics, Wedgwood, sculpture, tapestries, Chinese art, Greek and Roman antiquities, Masonic and Napoleonic memorabilia.
