Description
From the moment you enter the Museum of Army Flying you will be amazed at the fascinating history of 'soldiers in the air' spanning over 100 years. This award winning museum has something for all the family. It is home to a unique collection of aviation history, with gliders, aeroplanes and helicopters on display.

Detailed dioramas, battle trophies and models give adults and children a fascinating glimpse into the life of airmen, and our 1940s House is a wonderful way to understand what life was like on the Home Front. There are hands on flying games and activities for children, a licensed cafe and a wonderful gift shop.

The museum is situated alongside Middle Wallop Airfield so you can also watch the everyday flying of the Army Air Corps

Collections description
With imaginative dioramas and static displays the museum traces the development of Army Flying from pre World War I to today's moden Army Air Corps. An inspiring and profound tribute to the men and machines that have fulfilled the Army's vital battlefield roles of observation, reconnaissance and offensive action from the air. With over 35 fixed winged and rotary aircraft on display, including the largest collection of military gliders in Europe, the story of the British Army Aviation is told in five distinct parts.
We now also offer an insight into what life was like on the Home Front during World War 2 with our new 1940s House
