Description
Milton's Cottage in the beautiful village of Chalfont St Giles,
is the only extant home of the great poet and parliamentarian. Built at the end of the sixteenth century, Milton came here in 1665 to escape from the plague raging in London, and whilst here completed his great epic poem, Paradise Lost.

Collections description
The cottage contains one of the finest collections of seventeenth century and other early editions of Milton's poetic and prose works.
