Description
Mrs Elsie Bambridge, daughter of Rudyard Kipling, bequeathed Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire, including the Grade I listed landscaped parkland, to the National Trust in 1976.

Wimpole had a succession of owners from Lord Harley (1711-1740) to the Earls of Hardwicke (1740-1894) and Viscount's Clifden, before being bought by Elsie Bambridge in 1930's and has a roll-call of celebrated architects and landscape designers who have worked on it, each contributing their own layer to its varied history.

Wimpole Home Farm set amidst eighteenth century thatched farm buildings is the largest rare breeds centre in East Anglia. Working Walled Kitchen Garden. Archaeology Walks in parkland.
