Description
Situated in a nineteenth century corn mill in the picturesque Soudley Valley, the Dean Heritage Centre is the ideal starting point for a visit to the Forest. With five modern museum galleries, and a range of features designed to create a living history experience, there is plenty here for all ages to enjoy. We also have regular activities where you can meet characters from the Forest's history, discover its flora and fauna, and learn its crafts. We provide a range of children's activities to engage our younger visitors with the history and nature of the Forest: magical trails, craft activities, animals and an adventure playground, as well a as programme of family events throughout the summer. Our lovely millpond and five acres of woodland are perfect for walking, or just to sit and enjoy a picnic.
