Description
The Hamlet is a water-powered scythe and steel works dating back to the 18th century. The houses, workshops, crucible steel furnaces, waterwheels, tilt hammers and machinery create a unique atmosphere of what life was like at home and at work. In its heyday it was one of the largest water-powered industrial complexes on the river Sheaf.
