|
Collections description
The theme for collecting is the social and industrial heritage of the inland waterways surrounding Goole. Interpretation mainly centres around The Aire and Calder Navigation, and the history of coal handling using the 'Tom Puddings'. The collection consists of historic photographs, objects and vessels: 'Wheldale' (a Tom Pudding tug), Tom Puddings, Sobriety (a refitted Humber Keel)and Room 58 (a grain barge which has been converted into a floating gallery).
