The new Urbis Learning programme is designed to appeal to educators of children at both primary and secondary level, with some workshops appropriate for post-16 learners.
The core focus at Urbis is now Manchester, Media and Citizenship and these three strands are at the heart of each aspect of the new learning provision.

The Modern at Urbis
The Modern bar and restaurant is a sleek new drinking and dining concept that opened early December 2007. Located on levels 5 & 6 of Urbis the venue offers the ultimate drinking and dining experience with the added attraction of stunning panoramic views across the city.

The exemplary menu includes dishes such as: Pressed Terrine of Cheshire Pheasant, Roast Glen Fyne Venison and Roasted Scottish Monkfish and Pre-theatre and special lunchtime menus are also available. The bar also serves food as classic cocktails and is a space that transforms from a casual, comfortable daytime venue to a sophisticated, decadent destination

The Social is our stylish cafe bar, with a tasty menu and distinctive atmosphere for a drink after work

Whether you prefer Moroccan tabouleh and lamb kebab salad or traditional battered fish & chips, or if you're feeling social, one of our new platters to share, we have tastes to cater for every palate.
Why not pop down after work for a social drink, or to sample our appetising menu which we recommend you try with one of ourinternational beers.

Description
Urbis is an exhibition centre about city life. On your visit you can explore temporary exhibitions about contemporary art & design, urban gardening, the city environment and the people who make our cities what they are.
There is so much on at Urbis this year, it will leave you wanting to come back for more. You don't have to cram it all into one visit, take your time, everything's free. Make the most of your visit by relaxing in our cafe 'The Social' or sipping a delicious cocktail in 'The Modern' our new bar and restaurant. We will still be here when you come back!
