Description
The NCCL Galleries of Justice is a museum and heritage site housed in the old Shire Hall in Nottingham’s Lace Market and made up of a range of Victorian courtrooms, an 18th century prison and Edwardian Police station. For centuries citizens of the local community were locked up in the prison, stripped of their civil liberties in the courtroom and sometimes lost their lives, on the gallows of the front steps.
