Access: We’ve attempted to make the site accessible to everyone. The ‘Cutter’ visitor centre is wheelchair friendly. But as you might expect with the old colliery buildings, access is restricted.

Collections description
The Pitmen Painters were a group of Northumberland miners who founded the Ashington Art Group in the 1930s and who took as their subject everyday life in their mining community. The Woodhorn Colliery Museum holds a major collection of their work.
