Description
The Museum of Kent Life displays agricultural and social history relating to Kent from the Mid 19th Century - Mid 20th Century.
It has the last traditionally working Oast House which is used in an annual hop picking and beer festival event.
Other historical biuldings at the museum house displays on domestic life from the 19th Century to the 1950's. The Village Hall acts as an education base for schools and both the Hall and a purpose built conference room are also licenced for civil weddings.
Elsewhere the Museum displays the rich agricultural heritage of Kent with a working Farm, Granary, Barn and varied collection of rare breeds. The Museum also has a herb garden, market garden and hop gardens that all produce items for sale in the shop.
There is a large tea room on site and refreshements are also available from the shop.
Set in 50 Acres of beautiful grounds yet with easy access to the M20, the Museum of Kent Life offers a welcome escape into the country side.
