Description
Dimbola Lodge, the former home of Julia Margaret Cameron, the noted Victorian international portrait photographer is not only where Cameron began and carried out most of her acclaimed work, but was also a centre of Victorian culture. The Julia Margaret Cameron Trust was founded, in 1993, to save the building from demolition, as part of the Island’s and our Nation’s heritage, to restore it to its former glory, and provide a heritage arts and photographic study centre.

Original and/or unique photographic images, papers, camerasb Books, etc. relating to, associated with and illustrating the life and works of Julia Margaret Cameron, or to the life and works of the ‘Freshwater Circle’, or to the history of Dimbola Lodge.
