Description
This unique collection of over 70 helicopters and autogyros forms the world’s largest dedicated rotorcraft museum and the only one in the United Kingdom. Full-size aircraft are backed up by displays on the history and development of the helicopter.
Helicopters in the collection include two of the Queens Flight, Russian Hind Attack helicopter, and World Speed Record holder.
All exhibits are undercover and there are talking boxes to accompany some of the helicopters.
Throughout the year there are Open Cockpit days and Helicopter Experience Flights. Free, guided tours are available for groups. There is a helicopter themed children’s outdoor play area. Contact the museum for further information.
