As part of Leicester’s Castle Park Festival, Jewry Wall Museum will be holding a Medieval Trader's Day at St Nicholas Circle on Sunday August 27 from 11.00am – 4.00pm (3.00pm Talk).

The day offers the chance for visitors of all faiths and backgrounds to explore Britain’s exciting medieval trade links with the Muslim world. There will be exotic spices to discover in the medieval market, tasting of food from around the Muslim world, artefact handling and Arabic calligraphy.

Mohammad Seddon from The Islamic Foundation will present a slideshow talk on Britain’s medieval trade with the Muslim world at 3.00pm.

The event is in association with the Islamic Society of Britain and is part of the UK-wide Festival of Muslim Cultures. Visit www.muslimcultures.org for more information.
