The voting for the 2007 Readers' Poll for the Gulbenkian Prize is now closed

Not only have we had an amazing response to our Gulbenkian Prize People's Vote, but we've received literally hundreds of fantastic comments, showing just how much museums and galleries mean to local people. Here's a selection showing what our readers feel about Scotland & Medicine.

“I’d like to vote for this project, I think that it captures a difficult to present subject in an accessible and inspiring way.” Jo

“The exhibition utterly transformed the way I think about this city and the development of medicine as we know it today.” Professor Ward Thomson

“They have succeeded in enthralling and engaging these audiences in a subject previously the preserve of a specialist elite as anyone who has seen the Anatomy Acts exhibition will testify.” Alison

“Outstanding entry and accessible to all the community throughout Scotland. Far reaching in every way.” Sheila

“This is one of the best medical/surgical collections I have ever seen anywhere in the world.” Ray

“This is an amazing museum. Definitely worthy of this esteemed prize! I will be returning again in the near future! Had an amazing time there looking at the history of modern medicine and surgery and all the amazing specimens!!!!!” Shirin from Michigan, USA

“I don't normally go to museums, I think they are boring. But, my boyfriend dragged me along to the Anatomy Acts exhibition and I absolutely loved it. I am thinking about my body and how to look after it now, and I'm sooooooooo glad I didn't live in the past. So this should be the winner It's COOL!!!!!!!!!!!” Mandy

“Brilliant, and I'm not even a doctor!” David

“Scotland & Medicine to win! I had no idea how fascinating and beautiful medical collections were until I visited the exhibition Anatomy Acts.” Chris
