Galleries Of Justice Gets £10K From RBS For Citizenship Programme

The Galleries of Justice are fundraising to support its crime prevention and citizenship programme
The Royal Bank of Scotland in Nottingham has donated £10,000 to the NCCL Galleries of Justice’s Help a Nottinghamshire Child campaign.
It will help underprivileged children aged 6-16 take part in citizenship and crime prevention activities at the award-winning centre in Nottingham’s Lace Market.
“As an office we were looking for a local charitable organisation that we could support as our staff are all local residents,” said Tim Clarke, the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Director of Commercial Banking, Nottingham.
“Help a Nottinghamshire Child encapsulated what we were looking for and the money raised from a series of events that involved kind donations from our customers, professional colleagues and friends and family will go a long way to making a difference for local children in and around the city.”

Help a Nottingham Child is a campaign led by the Galleries of Justice to raise money so that every Nottinghamshire child can visit the centre to take part in citizenship activities both with their schools and with families.
It aims to help make children proud of their city and to give them the skills and understanding to become good citizens.
Tim Desmond, Chief Executive of the Galleries of Justice, said: “We are thrilled that staff at The Royal Bank of Scotland in Nottingham have been able to raise so much money for us. Now we can start bringing more schools and communities in for free sessions.”
The Galleries of Justice has several crime reduction and citizenship resources on its website, including the award-winning Rizer site, which educates young people and their parents about the consequences of crime.
